YAY! I made it!!! thank you a lot! I learned buchs of origamis with you and I can’t list even one I couldn’t do! Your folding instructions are amazingly easy to get and to follow, because you do with the right speed and always showing each step so carefully…
Thanks again, and keep doing this marvelous job!
Cheers, mate!

Thank you.
But, I am *not* a professional folder!
Second. Please, Google: frog base
First result is a pdf diagram: they show step 7 *withouth* pre-making any of those 3 lines!
And that pdf diagram shows the “official” + traditional instructions!
If they show it that way it means it’s possible… since centuries!
Those lines, I repeat it, are the result of folding + unfolding step 7 off the camera: only, I took all the time for to make it the best I could!
Sorry… no magic, no secrets!

this is great videos! But OMG!!! I’ve seen the replies on the other users who asked you about step 7. But REALLY it’s totally IMPOSSIBLE to fold the paper as you do without the vertical line, and the 2 small triangels on the side on it. If you stop @ 2.18 you can clearly see the 3 lines that we unprofessional folders don’t have. @ 2.23 you fold the paper in a way that’s impossible to fold without the lines you have. I’ve actually tried 8 times. and I can’t finish my ogrigami :/

If you had read the previous comments, you would have seen what I have replied to other persons asking about the same step.
“To do nr. 7 you’ve to raise that middle point of the line between red and white part, and to overlap the two very opposite white sides.”
danbergam Said,

That triangle suddenly appearing is the result of step 6 done and then undone (at the beginning I used to do this, because I wasn’t comfortable in making the steps directly in front of the camera).
Just follow step 6 and everything will be fine.

I cant Do Step 7 D=

At the beginning, when I wasn’t yet comfortable with origami, I used to do each step *off the camera* and then undo it, for to have all the precreases needed and for to not make a mess.
Hence, those extra creases you suddenly see appearing are nothing but the result of the making of the that step (in this specific case, step 7).
In facts, if you do and undo step 7 you can see them by yourself.
Simply, try to do step #7 exactly as I do it, for to have the same result.

b4 step 7, the camera changes and you can see extra creases forming that triangle when originally it wouldnt be there if u follow the directions right. u really need to show how u made that middle triangle (precreasing or whatever u call it) cuz mine wont fold up right like that

i’ll try that
danbergam Said,
July 22, 2008 @ 2:08 pm
The problem is that step 7 has to be made like that.
Ok, you say that the paper crumbles…
At 1:51 you see those two lines \ / touching two points in the / \ red sides: before making step 7 you may pre-crease between those two points, in order to create that horizontal crease.

well it makes it even harder in words!!! im a 10 year old trying to do origami!!!!!!![sorry if i'm sounding mean]
danbergam Said,
July 27, 2008 @ 3:17 am
No need to make another video.
In the beginning, I used to pre-do a step then to undo it, in order to make it better in front of the camera.
Anyway, to do nr. 7 you’ve to raise that middle point of the line between red and white part, and to overlap the two very opposite white sides.
Even if you hadn’t done those folds, you’d obtain them by *doing step 7*!

please make another vid explaining step 7
