Artist asks the world for Origami Paper Cranes
In Asia, there is a saying - If you make 1,000 Origami Cranes, a wish will be granted. In 1996, I attached the HIV/AIDS ribbon to the beak of the crane and wished for a cure. Now, I am asking everyone from all over the world to send me their crane, and attach to it, their own causes, their own struggles, sickness, depression, triumphs. Send with your crane your poem, essay, story, video and I will join your crane with those of others. In time, I will talk to the right venues, agencies, nonprofits, sponsors and make your cranes fly with those of others.
