Black Ships Festival in Newport
Celebrating its 25th year, The Japanese-American Society and Black Ships Festival of Rhode Island will take place Thursday, July 17 through Sunday, July 20. The Festival offers a variety of events that emphasize both Japanese art and culture such as Origami, Martial Arts, and a Japanese Tea Ceremony. A highlight will be the Annual Festival of Drums, featuring the Matsuriza Taiko Group. The festival will be held at the Newport Yachting Center.
