Tip: Papers I usually buy on Ebay or Origami Shop. Japanese books I tend to buy from CDJapan.

This is probably my favorite Tatou (Japanese envelope) model. It looks complicated to fold, but the truth is you just need to know how! In a few steps you can transform a square paper into this beautiful Japanese envelope.

Paper

You need one square piece of paper. It is best to use Kami or Duo Paper, so the beautiful geometric pattern is more visible. But you could also fold it with regular paper. Watch the video tutorial to make your Origami Eight Point Tatou!

For models like this one, I like to use Kami paper, but if I want more variety, I will use Duo paper!
