This is one of my favorite single sheet Origami boxes, designed by Tomoko Fuse (my other favorite is the Origami Rose Box). You can find the diagram to this model in her book Origami Boxes Nr. 3, published in 2014. The lid can be finished in several ways – all look quite stunning, but the star shape is certainly one of the best! Just like the Pentagonal Box, the Hexagonal Box is made with a special twist maneuver. This can be quite tricky if you try it for the first time. Be sure to take time and try a few times, even if you don’t succeed immediately.

Tip: Papers I usually buy on Ebay or Origami Shop. Japanese books I tend to buy from CDJapan.

Paper

You need 2 sheets of Kami paper. If you intend to use the box, why don’t you fold it from Tant paper – as it will give it more stability.
